Fifteen runners have been nominated for Saturdayâs Group 2 Ajax Stakes (1500m) at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse, including some of the Autumn Carnivalâs most exciting racing prospects.

Godolphin Australia are set to be offered several good chances of success in the Group 2 race at Rosehill on Saturday after trainer John OâShea included both Generalife and Itâs Somewhat in 2016 Ajax Stakes nominations.
A particularly consistent performer for Godolphin in posting nine wins and ten minors through 35 career starts, Generalife returned to racing in 2015 for success in the Group 3 Star Kingdom Stakes (1200m).
Progressing to a credible fifth in the Group 1 All Aged Stakes (1400m), the Lonhro gelding returned to the paddock after placing third in each of the Group 1 Doomben 10,000 (1350m) and Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap (1350m).
Continuing to impress through a brief spring campaign, Generalife has placed fourth in each of the Group 3 Southern Cross Stakes (1200m) and Group 3 Liverpool City Cup (1300m) this time.
Beginning his racing career under the guidance of notable British trainer Mark Johnston, Itâs Somewhat returned this time for second in the Listed Festival Stakes (1500m) on November 28th before running on for third in the Group 2 Villiers Stakes (1500m) a fortnight later.
Having returned to the paddock for a brief freshen-up, the Dynaformer gelding is sure to have taken plenty of benefit from his run for sixth in the Liverpool City Cup a fortnight ago.
Chris Waller has also included several of his stableâs stars in 2016 Ajax Stakes nominations including Good Project and Weary.
Good Project failed to finish outside the first three in six starts through the recent Spring Carnival and capped his standout preparation with a maiden win at the highest level in the Group 1 Railway Stakes (1600m) on November 21st.
The Not A Single Doubt entire resumed with a commendable performance for third in the Liverpool City Cup and has reportedly taken great benefit from the hit-out.
Weary has been unable to find peak condition since a strong start to his spring campaign but should relish the conditions of the Ajax Stakes on Saturday.
Trainer Helen Page is confident Rudy has taken plenty of benefit from his time away from racing and has included her stable star in Ajax Stakes nominations.
Winner of the 2014 edition of the Villiers Stakes, Rudy returned last year for second in the Liverpool City Cup, and while failing to figure in his next two starts, savaged the line for fourth in the Group 1 Doncaster Mile (1600m).
Unable to reach the same racing highs in spring, the Red Dazzler gelding won a talent-rich Gold Coast trial with ease in February and appears ready to go.
